Tiffany Mathis is a spirit animal for many, she is a mother, a mentor, the CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of Central Illinois and a School Board member.
She has dedicated her entire adult life to better our community and I am extremely proud to share this conversation.
The Mission
“To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.” -The Boys and Girls Club
The Scope
The Boys and Girls Clubs runs academic after school programs at the central unit as well as 10 school based 21st Century sites within Springfield throughout the school year. During the summer months, an all day summer camp is offered at the central unit.
The Team
Her team is currently facing many challenges. They all care deeply for the health and well being of our children.
The drive
It’s no secret that non for profits have been hit extremely hard this year. However even in a non pandemic year running an organization such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Illinois can be tough to navigate. My hope is that you can hear a little bit of her drive, passion and commitment via this conversation.
It is very clear that Tiffany’s impressive resume is the result of a strong combination between formal education as well as life experiences. Its has been a long road for her to become the strong Mother, Mentor and the CEO that she is today.
I take great pride this new friendship, and I am very excited for the future.
