Daily Yoga & Mindfulness for Scholarships for Students

Through yoga, children learn techniques for concentrating, reducing stress, and connecting to their bodies in a loving way while having fun.

“Yoga and mindfulness have been shown to help children build self-regulatory skills, resilience, social awareness, and confidence, as well as gross-motor skills, strength, and fitness. “.

Ashley Krstulovich

It’s 6:30 am, I hear my son calling for me, I stayed most of the night working on this website.
My lack of sleep combined with not prioritizing the hierarchy of my needs has fueled and less stellar attitude and a rough start to the day.

My infant son’s actions are not the root of my frustration I don’t want him to think I’m a monster so I pause for a moment to find my center focus then breathe.

Later on that morning, a car cuts me off in traffic (as I enter the parking lot on my way to a morning meeting).

I could storm into the building carrying my frustration with me, instead, I make the conscious decision to pause the outside world focus and breathe.

Life is full of unique challenges and I need to be ready for what ever the day calls for. It may sound trivial, but I have to make sure that I am taking care of myself both mentally and physically.

I know that I am mentally stronger, on the days that I commit to morning meditation. It took me over 30 years to understand the value of making time for myself. I have to wonder what kind of catastrophes, that I could have avoided had I practiced this my entire life?

I can’t change the past, but I can be an advocate for these practices and do my best to build a better tomorrow.

Ashley Krstulovich dedicates her life to educating and enhancing the lives of others through the practices of Yoga and mindfulness. Every day she inspires me as she strives to make the world around her a better place through her mission at Flow Midwest Yoga and Mediation.
